The Future of Remote Download
By Tachosys / November 2022
We are pleased to announce the release of the most significant development to our tachograph remote download solution since its original formation 11 years ago. The digiDL has become the industry standard for remote download over the last decade and it’s on this foundation that we have built the digiDL-H.
Available from January 2023, the digiDL-H boasts a number of internal improvements, providing a more efficient and reliable connection over Wi-Fi, 4G and Bluetooth, 20x faster processing as well as improved data encryption. It will enter the market as an improved replacement for the current digiDL and alongside the above enhancements comes a more fundamental change that will bring longevity to the device itself - a reputation that our products already hold.
The ‘H’ (of digiDL-H) stands for ‘hub’ which is what we’ve created; a device that continues to completely automate driver card and vehicle unit download, while also generating its own secure local network to collect data from additional devices and sensors around the vehicle.
We have a list of future add-ons including: Bluetooth tags, RFID readers, in-cab displays, cameras and wireless buttons as well as third-party hardware. These will gradually be released, but with the DL-H coming early next year any device purchased will be compatible with these future technologies.
We will also be releasing the digiDL-HX in the spring of 2023 which adds GPS tracking and configurable FMS data capture as standard; giving access to enhanced telematics data to monitor things such as fuel levels, engine temperature, rev counts, harsh braking etc.
